Well done Aviva!

Last week I had cause to claim for a damaged laptop which was insured under a specific computer policy with Aviva. I presented the claim to the insurer along with a copy of the original purchase invoice, a confirmation from an Apple authorised repairer that the laptop was uneconomical to repair and a link to the equivalent replacement on the Apple website.

I received an almost immediate response back agreeing the settlement and the funds were transferred to my bank account within 48 hours. This is the kind of claims experience that should be expected but is so rarely delivered. It does demonstrate the benefits of presenting a fully evidenced claim at the earliest possibility to allow everyone to do their job efficiently.
