I was asked a question today over a networking lunch that at first seemed way too big to answer over a prawn and chorizo risotto. "So what is the most important insurance for a business to have?"

I said that probably having the right liability insurances in place was the most important as these claims can come from almost anywhere and be almost unlimited in their cost.

The truth is that the shopping list will be different for almost all businesses but will take a similar structure. Very few small businesses will be able to cover all risks from an economic standpoint and so it will always be a case of prioritisation.
